Remote work has shaken up various markets, from tourism to welfare offers for companies, with particular interest in experiential activities and life in villages.

When we talk about smart working and remote working, the problem is always the same: work-life balance. In the post-pandemic training market, there is still a lack of practice that is difficult to teach in the classroom and that can deal with emotional states such as anxiety, burnout, depression, insomnia and lack of concentration. This problem is perceived directly not only by workers but also by companies, which today are increasingly sensitive to people's well-being. Everyone agrees on how much a harmonious and collaborative climate affects staff productivity. Unfortunately, training alone, as important as it is, is not enough to find the right work-life balance. We need places that stimulate us on a path to rediscovering and balancing ourselves.

These statements are confirmed by a recent survey carried out on a sample of 15,000 subordinate workers, in which 88% of those interviewed confirm concrete benefits in carrying out their work in "workation" mode (working in holiday locations); furthermore, 62% express a considerable improvement in their quality of life, so much so that they say that "working flexibly in any location is more important than the same pay", 47%.
This is today's scenario: the most sensitive companies are looking for experiential offers for their staff in their welfare programmes.

Another very interesting fact that emerged from the research results concerns the "place": people would like to experience travel and work. Italy ranks first as a destination for this kind of experience with 55% (38% in southern Italy and 24% in the islands), while non-EU destinations (23%) and Europe with 22%.

In response to the demand from the corporate tourism market, Paisà was created, a project combining work and corporate welfare.

Paisà will be a network of widespread coliving in Italian villages, with the aim of bringing to light the beauty of an Italy that has been forgotten due to urbanisation.
To the question "what is the origin of this project?" he answers "There is not one simple reason but a set of reasons that have given voice to this project" - Samuel Lo Gioco, Co-founder of Paisà, continuing "as a teacher I realised how many people have difficulties in creating that much desired balance between life and work and how much each of us deserves the best in our lives, being able to find well-being with the right people in the right place.
With Paisà we want to give an ethical meaning to life. We have a duty to build a better future for the next generations, a future that puts people at the centre. We must invest in
human capital."

Paisà's territorial development format, with its network of locations, extends into the villages, custodians of the authentic and genuine popular culture that makes Italy the most beautiful place to live. The network will have a positive economic impact thanks to an increasing number of "new temporary citizens". All this is also possible thanks to smart working, transforming a model of work organisation into an opportunity for an exclusive life experience.
